WCSD Energy Initiative

We extend our deepest sympathies
to the family, friends, and loved ones
of Nohemi Gonzalez, who
was tragically
killed last Saturday in the Paris attacks.
Nohemi was an exceptional young woman
who was pursuing a degree in design at
California State Long Beach and had been
in the study abroad program. Formerly a
student at Mill School, Edwards and Dexter
Middle Schools and Whittier High School,
Nohemi was known and cared for by many
throughout our community. Her loss is
devastating to all of us. A candlelight vigil
will be held today, November 17, at Whittier High School at
4:30 p.m.

Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)

The new Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) is the new way that school districts in California receive their school funding.  LCFF law requires every school district to engage parents and the community in creating a Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP).

The Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent hold meetings with key stakeholders to share the goals and receive input in developing the LCAP. Click here for more information about the LCAP.
