Whittier City School District (WCSD) is happy to introduce Reach for The Stars Learning Centers. These learning centers are supported through a partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Whittier and the City of Whittier. Whittier City School District understands that the needs of our community have changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This plan has been designed to help meet the needs of our families.

The California Department of Education and the Los Angeles Public Health Department have advised that schools reopen with Distance Learning. This can make it difficult for working parents to find safe places for their children to learn and grow. The Reach for The Stars Learning Centers will serve a limited number of students under strict health and safety regulations. The centers will operate from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on all school days. This program will be funded by a combination of State ASES, Federal 21st CCLC grant funds and monthly parent fees.
