Dear Whittier City School District Community,
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year.
On behalf of the Whittier City School District Board of Education and myself I would like to thank you for enrolling your children in our schools. The Whittier City School District is committed to bolstering student growth academically, emotionally, and socially. We are proud to promote an environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging and connectedness to school and education.
The Whittier City School District is known for its future ready academic programs and thematic schools such as Dual Language Immersion, Visual and Performing Arts, STEAM, and Technology. We focus on student achievement through standards-based instruction, 21st century skills of communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. Our programs focus on supporting the whole child to develop their full potential. Important to every child’s success is that they achieve in school so they may pursue and attain their goals and dreams. As we journey together through COVID-19, we are committed to the following:
