The COVID-19 pandemic has caused an undeniably difficult situation for many in our WCSD community over the past 16 months. It is with great enthusiasm and hope that we open our doors to welcome back all of our students for the 2021-2022 school year. While their return is clear evidence of progress, we know that many of our students will require a significant amount of attention to address the interruption of instruction.
WCSD will be receiving federal funding that are being made available through the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) program. This funding is intended to address the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on students and help with safely reopening and sustaining safe operation of schools. ESSER funding must be used to meet needs that have resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic.
WCSD would like to gather input by asking all stakeholders to complete a short survey that will help us determine areas of need caused by the pandemic. Your responses will help us finalize and prioritize areas of need for which “ESSER III” funds will be used.
Survey responses will be collected through Tuesday, September 14th at 11:59 PM. We thank you for your feedback and support!
