Credentialing Information

Please remember that it is the employee's responsibility to renew his/her credential.

  • You can renew your credential online at: California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (www.ctc.ca.gov)
  • When you are at the site, just click on "Renew Your Document" and enter your own information at the prompt.
  • Credentials are processed in 10 working days.
  • The issuance date for the renewed credential will be the same as the expiration date of the previous credential.  You do not get a different expiration date by renewing early.
  • Don't delay- Check your information and renew on time or early.  You can renew your credential up to 12 months in advance of the expiration date.
  • Do not let your credential lapse as doing so may jeopardize your pay.  To avoid delay in pay, forward confirmation to Human Resources, [email protected]

General requirements for each of the major document types are described below.
