JUMP START SUMMER PROGRAM
The Jump Start Summer Program began in 2010 with funding from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, After School Education and Safety, and 21st Century Community Learning Centers. The Jump Start programs learning goals aim to have at least 90% of students enrolled in the program:
1) Increase their reading fluency by 10 words per minute over the course of the summer,
2) Increase their knowledge and appreciation of out-of-door environments over the course of the summer, and
3) Increase their knowledge about a lifestyle based on healthy cooking and nutrition over the course of the summer.
